The top 20 Male and 20 Female Lifters who have made the standard (Commonwealth & African Games) will be selected.

Athlete must be on Adams and whereabouts updated.

Relevant Courses must also be completed.

Athletes must be able to afford the trip without support from the Federation at this stage.

All Level 6 and higher International Competitions in the past 12 Months
SA Championships 2022 (Senior, Youth and Junior)
Provincial Championships 2023 (Senior, Youth and Junior) March 2023

The top 10 Male and 10 Female Lifters and 2 reserves who have made the standard (World Championships) will be selected.

Only those on the Preliminary List can be selected and maximum 2 per category

Final Team selection includes flights and accommodation Bookings

Coaches of the athlete will be eligible to take their athlete to the competition, but at their own cost or the cost of the Athlete (Safeguarding policies will be enforced).
